What must every e-invoice include?
Invoice number and date - unique invoice identifier and issue date
Your company details - name, address, VAT/CBE number (filled from your business profile)
Recipient details - company name and CBE/CIN number (required for Belgian B2B)
Line items - each with description, quantity, unit of measure (e.g. units, hours, kilograms), and price
VAT breakdown - VAT rate and amount per category
Payment method - e.g. Bank transfer, SEPA, Credit card, Cash
Currency - typically EUR for Belgium
Due date - payment due date
Tip: Three fields are most commonly missed: payment method, unit of measure on each line item, and the recipient's CBE number. Make sure all three are filled in before sending.
