Add items or services

This article explains how to add products and services to Billdu so you can quickly select them when creating invoices and other documents.

Mobile app

  1. Tap ...More in the navigation menu

  2. Select Products or Services

  3. Tap + in the upper right corner

  4. Fill in the item details:

    • Name - required

    • Description

    • Unit - e.g. hour, piece, kg

    • Price - enter either the unit price or the total; Billdu calculates the other automatically

    • Discount - optional

    • VAT - only appears if VAT is enabled in your account settings

Note: Advanced features - including images, stock quantity tracking, costs, SKU, barcodes, tags, collections, and variants - are available with the Inventory, Orders and Store add-on.

Website

  1. Go to Items in the main menu

  2. Select Products or Services

  3. Click New product or New service

  4. Fill in the item details:

    • Name - required

    • Description

    • Quantity and unit

    • Price - entered excluding VAT

    • VAT - only appears if VAT is enabled in your account settings

    • SKU / Item code - optional

  5. To track stock levels, click Track inventory level and enter the current quantity on hand - available for Products only

  6. Upload an image to the product if needed

  7. Click Save

Note: Once saved, your products and services appear in the item list when creating invoices, quotes, and other documents - no need to re-enter them each time.
