Business and tax identification numbers

Every business has one or more identification numbers, and the exact type depends on your country. Here's what Billdu shows for your business and your clients, and how to change it if needed.

Which ID number does Billdu show?

Billdu displays the identification number that matches your country. For example:

  • United States: Tax Registration No.

  • Canada: BN/NE

  • United Kingdom: Company Registration No. (plus a VAT Registration No. if your company is VAT-registered)

  • Australia: Australian Business Number (ABN)

  • New Zealand: New Zealand Business Number (NZBN)

Where to find it

  • Go to Settings > Business details, then open the Identification section.

  • Billdu shows the right ID field automatically, based on the country set for your business.

  • The same applies to your clients: the ID field updates based on each client's country.

Renaming an ID label

If the default ID name doesn't match your country - for yourself or for a client - you can rename it:

  • Click the pencil icon next to the ID field.

  • Enter the name you want.

  • Save your business (or client) details.

Note: Changing your business or client's country updates the ID field automatically - you don't need to set it manually.
