Share a payment link with a client

This article explains how to share an online link to your invoice so your client can view it, download it as a PDF, and pay it directly.

What the client sees

When your client opens the link, they see a clean view of the invoice with the most important information. From there, they can:

  • View the invoice details

  • Download the document as a PDF

  • Pay online via card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer (if Stripe is enabled)

  • Accept a quote or estimate

  • View payment history, including any partial payments made

Share a link - mobile app

  • Open the invoice from Documents - Invoices

  • Tap Send, then choose Other

  • Your device's sharing menu opens - select the app you want to use (WhatsApp, Messages, Messenger, email, etc.)

  • A message is pre-created with the online link included

  • Edit the text if needed and send

Share a link - website

From the invoice list:

  • Go to Documents - Invoices

  • Click ... next to the invoice

  • Select Copy online link

  • The link icon is also visible in the invoice preview

  • A confirmation message appears - paste the link anywhere using Ctrl+V or Command+V

From the invoice preview:

  • Open the invoice

  • Click the link icon at the top of the preview

  • The link is copied to your clipboard

Note: For clients to pay directly through the online link, Stripe must be connected and enabled in Settings - Payment options.
