Create a quote or estimate

This article explains how to create a quote or estimate in Billdu. The two document types work the same way - a quote indicates fixed costs, while an estimate is a considered approximation.

Note: Estimates and quotes are available on Standard and Premium plans. Lite plan users can view but not edit them.

Mobile app

  • Tap Documents in the main menu, then select Estimates

  • Tap Create new estimate or the + icon in the upper right corner

  • Select a client from the list or tap + to create a new one - you can also import from your phone's contacts

  • Tap Details to set the issue date, validity date, discount, shipping, currency, and language

  • Tap + Add item to add products or services - choose from your saved list or create a new one

  • Tap Preview to review the document

  • Tap Save - the document number is assigned automatically once online

Website

  • Go to Documents - Estimates and click New estimate

  • Select a client or click + Create a new client

  • Add items - enter name, description, quantity, and unit price; apply VAT if applicable

  • Check the issue date and validity date

  • Click More options to add currency, language, discount, shipping, or a delivery note reference

  • Add any introduction text or notes

  • Click Save - the preview opens with options to edit, send, convert to invoice, or delete
