Preview an invoice
Before sending, always check that your invoice looks correct.
Mobile app
Tap Documents in the main menu, then select Invoices
Tap the invoice you want to view
Tap Preview in the upper menu
Website
Go to Documents - Invoices
Click on any invoice - a preview opens immediately
Send an invoice
Once you're happy with the preview, choose how to send it to your client.
Mobile app
Open the invoice from Documents - Invoices
Tap Send
Enter the recipient's email address - you can add multiple addresses
Edit the message text if needed
Add any attachments if needed (photo, file)
Tap Send
Website
Go to Documents - Invoices
Click the envelope icon ✉ next to the invoice you want to send
Enter the recipient's email address - you can add multiple addresses
Edit the message text if needed
Add attachments if needed
Click Send - you'll see a confirmation that the email was sent
Tip: You can set up default email texts and subjects for invoices, reminders, and thank-you messages in Settings - Client communication. You can personalise these using tags like CLIENT_NAME and TOTAL.
Other sending options
From the invoice preview or action sheet, you can also:
Share online link - send your client a link to view the invoice online
Download PDF - save the invoice as a PDF file to share via WhatsApp or any other app
Print - print the invoice directly
Mobile app - open the invoice, tap Send, then select your preferred option from the action sheet at the bottom.
Website - open the invoice preview and use the icons at the top to send, share, download as PDF, or print.
Note: By default, emails sent from the mobile app use your phone's native mail app. Emails sent from the website are delivered from invoices@mail.billdu.com with your business name displayed. To send from your own email address, you can configure this in Settings - Client communication.
