Add a deposit request

A deposit request asks your client to pay part of the invoice total upfront - before you complete the work. Once added, the deposit notice appears directly on the invoice.

Note: Deposit requests only work on invoices - not on quotes or estimates. You can't add a deposit request after a payment has already been recorded.

Mobile app

  • Open or create an invoice

  • Scroll down to Deposit Request and toggle it on

  • Choose your deposit type:

    • Percentage - e.g. 30% of the total

    • Flat amount - a fixed amount in your currency

  • Enter the deposit amount and set a due date

  • Tap Save

The deposit notice will now appear on your invoice.
