VeriFactu (Verifiable Invoice Issuance Systems) is a newly introduced fiscal oversight framework created by the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) as part of the Anti-Fraud Law 11/2021. Its main purpose is to curb tax fraud by guaranteeing that every invoice generated by companies and self-employed professionals in Spain remains secure, traceable, and tamper-proof.
From January 1st, 2026, all invoices produced through the certified Billdu e-invoicing platform will fully meet the requirements set by the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).
